Rodin - Girl with a Flowered Hat (1865–1870)

This is one of Rodin’s earliest works influenced by eighteenth-century art, depicting a half-length portrait of a girl wearing a flowered hat within a lifelike naturalistic style. We see the artist meticulously detailing her clothing, hair, and hat, while her delicate, youthful features reveal a sensitive side.
