(Fig) Fragrant roses. In the City of Flowers, whenever people talk about the charming roses, they immediately think of the enchanting and brilliant rose garden at Bagatelle. This year marks the centennial Rose Queen selection at Bagatelle Park, a moment not to be missed for appreciating roses. Bagatelle Park is the most fragrant garden in the city; within its classical romantic image, it is poetic and picturesque, full of aesthetic beauty, like an earthly Eden. The rose garden at Bagatelle is the most enchanting and largest. In this lush and bright natural theater, there are vast fields of colorful and charming roses and ramblers. Within geometrically symmetrical organic patterns, the abundant collection features ancient and modern, Eastern and Western, wild and cultivated roses and ramblers, totaling over 9,000 varieties, dazzling to behold. In orderly rows, full of vitality, two large conical yew hedges stand out prominently amidst the rhythmic variation of rose clusters. On the left, a series of archways and pergolas covered in vines add charm, dotted with thick conical yews and a series of small boxwood sculptures, their clever designs inviting contemplation. On the right, set against the backdrop of the distant orange pavilion, visual beauty abounds. Directly ahead, on a lush hill, a white gazebo with a romantic form stands majestically, offering a poetic view and the best vantage point for exploring the magnificent panorama of the rose garden.
Then! Whenever the weather is fine and roses are in full bloom, it is even more spectacular. A vast expanse of vibrant, colorful flowers dazzles the eye. Bathed in the rich fragrance of roses, one unknowingly enters God's Eden. Those pilgrims wandering through the brilliant flower clusters, like intoxicated butterflies, are enraptured by nature's grand visual and spiritual feast, lingering unwillingly to leave. But do not miss this year's Bagatelle Centennial New Rose Variety Queen selection (an annual event). On the third Wednesday of June each year, in this bright rose theater, competitors vie for the crown. Experts, horticulturists, technicians, and artists from around the world form the Rose Queen Selection Committee (a tradition with over ninety years of history, becoming a grand ceremony in the city's horticulture). They select winners for categories such as fragrance, color, and form from numerous new varieties. Thus, when visitors explore the rose garden, beneath each rose cluster is a plaque indicating which charming variety once held the title. Now, please choose your queen among these beautiful pictures!
