His diverse talents extend beyond visual arts; he is also an outstanding and innovative playwright and a soul figure in theater during his era. He engages in diverse explorations ranging from body art, performance, sculpture, objects, drawing, and spatial installations.
This all-around artist is known for pushing the boundaries of his creative fields to the extreme, embodying the image of an aesthetic warrior and a desperate knight. Through the two major series “Belgian Sexual Folklore” and “North Sea Sexual Belgium,” Fabre depicts a comprehensive, complex, and subversive portrait of his homeland, Belgium, making a statement through a critical love.
