"GET" spatial installation work from the exhibition "Guinguette Enters the Admiring Little Forest," 2009. Matthieu Ronsse's solo exhibition "Guinguette Enters the Admiring Little Forest" was on display at Almine Rech from January 10 to February 25. Born in 1981, Belgian emerging artist Matthieu Ronsse instinctively expresses his artistic creation through key words, clearly pointing to political construction categories, whether idealistic or critical; words become the core of creation and the medium for concepts. In his first exhibition in Paris, "Guinguette Enters the Admiring Little Forest," Matthieu Ronsse presented small graphic word paintings as architectural installations within the exhibition space. The walls were covered with text compositions of various sizes, and small square painted word paintings were hung in an orderly manner according to their meanings. Dazzling and brilliant, it was like entering a forest of admiring word advertisements, where viewers could carefully read the content between phrases, guiding them into an extraordinary imaginative space. Within the signs of postmodern art, he established conceptual art through intersecting textual narratives and defined the limits of spatial art.
