Picasso (Pablo Picasso) - Urinating (1965)
Urinating 195×97cm 1965 Centre Pompidou Collection

In his later years, Picasso presented this most provocative work through playful brushwork. Within a vulgar and indecent theme, he elevated noble sculptural art with a humorous and satirical expression, akin to a comedic feeling. The piece depicts a young girl on a beach lifting her skirt to squat and urinate, facing the audience with an indifferent expression. Through a comical Cubist head featuring an exaggerated nose, two eyes staring at people, seemingly no neck, bare breasts, and legs spread apart, it clearly displays the sexual organs for urination. This unrefined theme, combined with Expressionist rough patterns, became the leader of "bad painting" in the 1980s—the crude aesthetics.
