(Top) The poetic garden features a series of shimmering, water-filled mirrors, centered around the sparkling Grand Canal. (Middle 1) The sparkling moat, circular and octagonal water mirrors, and the canal create a highly poetic and flattened landscape. (Middle 2) In the open space at the front of the garden, the view extends from the large circular water mirror and canal into the dense, lush forest. (Bottom) The water-reflecting mirror garden is the only remaining masterpiece by Le Nôtre, the head gardener of the Sengdiyi Garden today.
