Traveling on the Clouds of the Paris Sky
Traveling on the Clouds of the Paris Sky - Grand Palais, Paris

Text and images by Chen Chi-Hsiang. "The sky" is the spirit of the universe's creator and the profound mystery of existence. Vast and boundless, it drifts with magnificent and bewitching clouds—works of heaven that play a fantasy over human realms across time, space, and seasons. Within the structure of heaven, earth, and humanity, it fills the world with infinite imaginative space. The ever-changing clouds are paintings by artist spirits, sonatas by musicians, wordless poems by poets, and spatiotemporal fields by novelists, guiding the rhythms and consciousness of all living things.
Wherever you are, there is a sky. This proposition varies by region; thus, we speak of Paris's sky. It may not be as majestic or subtle as others, but in this romantic capital, it carries a strong local atmosphere, mood, and resonance. The poetic and picturesque sky serves as a canvas for artists, musical notes for musicians, lyrical contexts for poets, and fields for novelists. Indeed, form arises from the mind, and environment is shaped by intent. Awareness flows with the stream of consciousness, and everyone observes their own realm.
Paris's sky holds my love; Taiwan's sky holds my affection. Emotion guides my existential consciousness, releasing my feelings and thoughts. As an artist, I enjoy gazing at and contemplating the sky. Wherever it is, the sky tells us that inspiration and wonder are right around us. Thus, these shifting skies are all spaces for my meditation, leading material presence to metaphysical experience. I like traveling on clouds, letting my imagination soar freely. By following fate and circumstances, I discover the magic of existence through chance encounters, capturing the imagery of the present moment. Through the spiritual canvas of the sky, I explore the unknown and unknowable mysteries of inner vision. In fact, I have discovered that the universe is actually within the clouds.
