Paris Spring Rain Never Stops
Viewing the Parisian urban rain scene from the Centre Pompidou

Text and photos by Chen Chi-Hsiang. Since returning to Paris from Taiwan, the spring rain has fallen continuously without stopping. The damp, cold, low-temperature, cloudy weather keeps this year’s winter lingering at my fingertips, poised on the treetops. Cherry blossoms in the garden have already brought good news—blooming profusely on every branch. I feel a natural energy stretching its limbs; the earth is awakening. The tail of winter is firmly grasped by spring. Nourished by the spring rain, saffron flowers emerge from the ground, displaying colorful, beautiful, and enchanting postures.
Human life should not be affected by climate. Returning to Paris means changing the air, the language, the food, the thinking, the mindset, the eyes, the scenes, and so on. Body, mind, and spirit fully enter another time and space, naturally unfolding life and immersing oneself in all life situations, embracing existence to the fullest.
