God's Gift - Paris Finally Clears Up

Text and photos by Chen Chi-Hsiang. The Seine floodwaters are slowly receding; as long as it does not rain again, water levels will naturally return to the river channel within a few days. This century-defining flood has caused heavy material losses for France, especially to agricultural products. People should heed nature’s warning signs. The declaration that “man can conquer nature” is humanity’s most ignorant and foolish assertion. Forgetting is the alarm bell ringing in today’s information-rich age. Awaken! Only by protecting nature can humanity ensure its sustainable survival.
