Whispering Sweet Nothings to Art and Nature
Exploring mountains and waters is my favorite—on the Er-Yanping Trail in Alishan.

Text and photos by Chen Chi-Hsiang. When I am not viewing exhibitions at museums, art institutions, or galleries, I am spending time in gardens, parks, or nature to pass the time. I enjoy looking at things and even "falling in love" with flowers and plants. Immersion in both nature and art is my greatest joy; attending exhibitions and taking walks are indispensable parts of my daily life.
My passionate devotion to art and my deep affection for nature mean that wherever there are no exhibitions to see, there will surely be natural landscapes, flora, or unique geological features. For me, viewing exhibitions and appreciating nature are indistinguishable; both serve as my energy fields. My dialogues with art, flowers, plants, mountains, and water are always whispered softly.
"Beauty" is omnipresent, regardless of whether it is art or not. As long as one opens their eyes and mind to feel and perceive, beauty is there.
