"Green Classical Concerts" from August to September, dedicated to a broad audience of classical music

Text and photos by Chen Chi-Hsiang. On a Saturday in September, I visited the Parc Floral (Parc Floral) in Paris, the "Garden of Flowers." The city hosts this classical music concert annually; this year marks its 19th edition. In July, summer concerts are dedicated to jazz for young people, while August through September features "Green Classical Concerts" for a broader audience. Held every Saturday afternoon in this vibrant outdoor garden, the events showcase major French orchestras and renowned artists.

During the summer, whenever time permitted, I went there to listen to music amidst the lush greenery and colorful blooms. After meals, I would visit to admire flowers, pick grass, relax, and enjoy the beautiful weekend moments. Sometimes I even brought friends and family for picnics, taking the opportunity to listen to the wonderful music of life. This time, the Paris Municipal Chamber Orchestra gave a grand performance. The entire concert revolved around the romantic themes of famous French composer Jacques Offenbach and Parisian motifs. As sweet melodies and rhythms flowed, I entered a state of blissful self-forgetfulness, filled with infinite reverie, cleansing my soul and spending a wonderful weekend.
