Consequently, when walking in parks or passing through gardens lately, one often sees people using the internet outdoors. Now, if you reside in Paris, simply bringing your laptop to these spaces allows for free and unrestricted internet access.
Clearly, Paris has followed the trend of the times, providing convenience for all residents, tourists from around the world, and scholars alike. This integration places Paris among the major metropolitan cities connected to the internet. Today, blessed by the internet, the globalized network not only shrinks but flattens the world onto computer screens. Information is readily available, and in an era of free sharing of knowledge and common sense, anyone has the opportunity to express their views on democracy and freedom. It becomes increasingly difficult for any regime to lock down information under the bright light of day; freedom and democracy have become inevitable trends in the internet world.
By learning to select and discard internet information, one can know what is happening in the world without leaving home, viewing it through the digital window. The blessing of a globalized internet moves toward greater unity and consistency, making global relationships tighter and forming a "global village." As a citizen of this world, one bears responsibilities and obligations to make the world freer, more democratic, prosperous, and environmentally friendly. In today's knowledge-sharing world, respecting others, upholding human rights, and protecting the Earth environment upon which we survive will define humanity's future. All futures are constructed through current freedom and rationality.
