Paris in September: Arts and Culture Fair and Garden Festival

Every weekend in September, Paris is filled with special festivals, a series of arts, culture, and other activities that form the city's vitality and image. After the summer vacation, from regional community events to overall metropolitan Paris activities, such as community clearance sales and open art studios, comes the Garden Festival. The first weekend of autumn each year is Paris’s Garden Festival, attracting tens of thousands of active participants every year; this year it has expanded to several nearby provinces. During this festival, all gardens and parks in the City of Flowers are open, along with numerous private gardens hidden within the metropolis, such as the lush green courtyards or vegetable gardens of many convents or mansions. People can only take advantage of this opening period to delve into these unique gardens for exploration.
Each year during the Garden Festival, the Paris municipal government promotes greening initiatives, along with various gardening lectures and demonstrations. Many people relax or learn amidst the crisp autumn weather. In the face of global energy crises and water resource issues, public greening education is inevitable. Enhancing public awareness of environmental protection, energy conservation, and urban greening, and implementing this knowledge in personal life, will be crucial for future global environmental awareness, energy renewal, and mitigating climate change crises.
This weekend, along the Seine River at the François Mitterrand National Library in our 13th arrondissement, there is also the Paris Arts and Culture Fair. Starting last year, the influx of autumn arts and culture activities in Paris has been bustling, with endless exhibitions, operas, theater performances, and events. The Paris Arts and Culture Fair is free and features live music and performances by artists, attracting tens of thousands of Parisians. Arts and culture activities are indispensable to Parisian life, like Vitamin C for Parisians. It is a pity not to participate in so many cultural events in Paris. Through the subtle influence of arts and culture, don't you feel that Parisians are indeed different? The reputation of Paris as an artistic capital is well-deserved; experiencing it firsthand will convince you. At this fair, booths introduce information on arts and culture activities from national museums, art galleries, cultural spaces, opera houses, comedy theaters, theaters, and major European cities, offering a wide range of options. If you want to understand all the arts and culture activities in Paris for the second half of the year, you can get information here.
In addition, there are many enjoyable musical programs, including French chansons, jazz, concerts, African dance, and circus performances, creating a festive atmosphere with singing and dancing. This is Paris, the city of arts and flowers. Of course, do not forget that the annual Paris Autumn Carnival has just begun. Besides endless drama and arts and culture activities, there is a sculpture exhibition by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone in the Tuileries Garden in front of the Louvre. As the cultural scene heats up, next Saturday will be another festival night—Paris’s annual Night of Museums. Stay tuned. Living in this desired artistic capital, immersed in this rich feast of arts and culture, makes me happy every day, feeling full of happiness.
