The Air of Paris

Air exists everywhere. Though invisible, it is substantial; all existence relies on air. Like light, it is an energy and element of life. Every place on Earth has its own unique atmosphere and creation. Each location possesses distinct air shaped by its geographical environment. The quality of life in Paris includes air indices. The capital’s vast parks, gardens, and green spaces are excellent remedies for improving urban air. On average, each Parisian enjoys over 60 square feet of green space (Taipei residents have less than one).
Parisian space refers not only to physical dimensions but also to the atmospheric quality of life. This encompasses diverse aspects such as food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and leisure. It also describes the local artistic and cultural ambiance. Paris’s reputation as a city of art points to this realm of free artistic creation, where humanistic talents gather to form an extraordinary cultural atmosphere—a distinctive energy that shapes the city’s character.
Life in Paris, whether tangible or intangible, occurs within this grand artistic and humanistic atmosphere. The broader environment subtly influences citizens, shaping their quality of life and cultural literacy, while also molding the image of the metropolis. Living in Paris naturally transforms one into a Parisian, making one sensitive to surrounding scenery and atmosphere, especially the sense of "beauty" and contemporary trends. Fortunately, living in the flower capital and art capital of Paris, particularly with a deep affection for "beauty," or as an enthusiast of emerging arts and curious about current trends, has been my driving force for thirty years, continuously shaping my life experience.
Paris has become the essence of my life journey, leaving deep spiritual imprints. It has transformed into elements of daily life and states of consciousness regarding existence. I always happily immerse myself in this artistic and cultural atmosphere. Returning from my hometown, Taiwan, to Paris is always exciting. Being able to continue witnessing my beloved old lover—art and beauty—is life’s greatest happiness and most vibrant vitality. Time and again, it shapes my growth. Art becomes another meditative journey in my inner depths. Intoxicated by the air of Paris, I sing out my feelings, praising the song of life.
