11:11, a mirror moment, also a symbol of synchronicity, opens our reflection on those extraordinary phenomena in daily life that we might almost overlook. Repetition, coincidence, cycles, mirror effects, and symmetry are all paths set by life for us, helping us better understand its unique and indivisible essence. When the mirror projects its own image, objects, human creations, and the extension of thought come alive together with life, converging into a common meaning.
"We meet ourselves, time and time again, in a thousand disguises on the path of life." — Carl Gustav Jung
This group exhibition will open a field of exploration, where the artists of Galerie GABA will explore together with the new artists we are honored to introduce to you.
Chen Chi-Hsiang (Titien CHEN) is a Taiwanese artist deeply influenced by the Daoist philosophy of yin and yang. His artistic practice blends Asian and Western cultures. For over twenty years, his work has revolved around the mirror effect; this is a metaphor attempting to explore the mystery of existence. He is fascinated by the expression of phenomena surrounding duality and the idea that duality constitutes an indivisible whole.
"Art is the mirror of life; my creations are the yearning, experience, and projection of my state of mind. I display my intuition, perception, and imagination."
In his "Phaseless Mirror" series, spectacular images reflect each other, like twins facing each other, engaging in a mirror dialogue.
Inspired by the crystal mirrors of sculptor Anish Kapoor, this series was created in a meditative state. The repetition of forms creates a vibrating energy, expanding the spatial realm through color and light.
"Phaseless Mirror" depicts the context of today's digital age, revealing the mysterious mirror between sensibility and expression, time and space, allegory and metaphor, construction and deconstruction. Rhythm and structure exhibit movement within stillness and the unchanging transformation.
Chen Chi-Hsiang was born in Taiwan in 1956. A graduate of the National Taiwan Academy of Arts (now Taiwan University of Arts), he moved to Paris in 1982, where he has remained since. Since then, he has frequently traveled between Taipei, Taiwan, and Paris, France.

The artists in the 11:11 thematic exhibition all explore outlets through painting, encompassing painting, objects, photographs, video, and more, in a comprehensive form of expression.
Hervé Piault appropriates, transforms, and reflects on everyday objects, such as constructing and layering disguises of Twitter's bird or a heater.
Franck Paglieri constructs large-scale slides with multiple pigments and colors, presented through projection, where the colors naturally diffuse and flow with warmth, becoming living paintings. Sometimes also presented through filmed video.
Aurore Le Ludec extends from a traditional sensitive abstract painting subject to painting objects and installations, such as paintings becoming trousers, which she wore during the opening.
CSV is a Chilean artist skilled in photography and painting. The 11:11 thematic work is her creation, and she exhibited two synchronized photographic works with applied pigments, poetic paintings.
Stello exhibited a linear puzzle mirror painting, reflecting the exhibition space and the people and things within it, evoking the magic of the everyday.
