Returning from the art capital of Paris to my beloved hometown, I always discover and realize new things. Caring for Taiwan's arts and culture is caring for Taiwan's future and love. To get closer to the soil where I grew up and my existence, I often take the opportunity to visit friends in the arts and cultural circles or participate in various cultural activities, delving into their environment to think about each cultural context and situation, thereby realizing and activating consciousness. Every time, I intend to personally verify local culture and its roots; this is my action to deeply understand and care for my hometown. Of course, participation is the most basic action.

Last Sunday, invited by writer friends, I came to Tainan City's Yanshui-Tianliao "Taiwan Poetry Trail," which made me suddenly realize that Taiwan has such an emotional poetry trail (Paris has a Poetry Garden). The "Taiwan Poetry Trail" is located in the simple countryside of Tianliao Township, surrounded by patches of green fields. Taking a rural kapok tree-lined path as the main body, on both sides of the kapok tree-lined path, between the kapoks, a series of low red bricks have ceramic plates inscribed with the "poems" of famous Taiwanese language poets on the treasure island, arranged in various styles of poetry, dazzling to the eye. The rhythm and beauty of words and poetry are fully displayed before people's eyes. People can walk under the shady path while reading rare Taiwanese language poems full of strong Taiwanese emotion and consciousness. The tranquility of the pastoral melody is a place for people to find creative inspiration. A few wooden pavilions beside the shady path are good places for poets to meet here to recite poetry and couplets, publish their own poetry here, or enjoy tea and discuss ideas with arts and culture friends.

Every year when kapok flowers and yellow flame trees bloom, overflowing with the vitality of early spring, it is the time for Taiwanese language poetry singing meetings to begin. This year, I unexpectedly participated in the once-in-a-lifetime annual "Taiwan Poetry Trail Poetry Singing Meeting" cultural feast. I was fortunate to hear the chanting of Taiwanese language poetry originating from Taiwan's indigenous mother culture. The beauty of Taiwanese language words cannot be replaced by other languages; their word changes and adjectives are first-class, quite authentic and affectionate, implying the thickness and depth of Taiwanese humanities. Unique Taiwanese language poetry is full of emotional and intellectual rhythm and rhyme. Every sentence carries strong emotion and profound resistance consciousness, stimulating the vitality of existence, singing loudly the song of life, experiencing the spirit and beauty of Taiwanese language poetry, spiritual understanding moves me deeply, as if throwing myself into my homeland—mother's embrace, awakening the soul and existential consciousness of strangers.

Obviously, the path of Taiwanese literature is arduous, and Taiwanese language poetry is even more difficult. It can be seen that Taiwanese language still has strength but lacks power, or even forgotten. Many young students have words in their mouths but cannot speak, let alone read Taiwanese literature? Because the words and poetry of mothers have always been intentionally or unintentionally ignored, their activity space is even more limited, and publications are not many. All these are due to the fact that those in power have not implemented local education. Therefore, overall, it is difficult for ordinary people to speak and write. I admire these Taiwanese literary authors for the responsibility and obligation they bear for cultural inheritance, how arduous it is. Taiwanese literary authors, under the current political situation, are like warriors of the Taiwanese soul, gathering full courage to fight positively. Deeply cultivating Taiwan's local culture is certainly the duty of everyone living on this land. Resistance consciousness is inevitable; otherwise, elegant Taiwanese literature will one day disappear from the global village, which will be a loss of world civilization. Finally, with this article, I continue to pay the highest tribute to Taiwanese literary poets.
