The Beauty of Taiwan’s Spring

Beautiful Treasure Island, spring all year round, this sentence is full of metaphorical meaning, that is to say, on the beautiful island, there are patches of green, colorful, brilliant, birds singing and flowers fragrant, abundant products and gentle breeze and warm sun, otherwise how can it be called the beautiful island? The Taiwanese dialect says "just think about it," look how beautiful and honest and interesting the Taiwanese language is, and describe it so aptly. Having walked half the globe, I have wandered and strolled through countless confusing villages in this global village and seen many beautiful scenes, personally appreciated the romantic capital of Paris for thirty years, but always feel that the beauty of my hometown is the most memorable for wanderers, this beauty comes from deep affection for this land and the original homeland of life. Paris is my home, Taiwan is my hometown, wandering between Paris and Taiwan. Paris's spring is very beautiful, very poetic and bewitching, I say so, then Taiwan's spring is equally beautiful, very poetic and charming, if we compare Paris to a lady with elegant posture, sparkling, charming, beautiful - very beautiful, extremely beautiful. Then Taiwan is like a plain-spoken lady, her beauty is natural, containing the simplicity and sincerity of human beings, not at all pretentious or affected, this difference in aesthetic sense is obvious. Of course, all existence cannot be compared, there is locality under the globe, locality has geographical customs, living habits, life attitudes, differences are inevitable, just like the same moon, there are different stories, differences are irreplaceable by all mainstream consciousness. Taiwan's unique beauty, as long as you carefully taste it, you can understand its flavor. Some people say "the moon abroad is rounder," and those who have lived abroad for a long time say "good mountains, good scenery, so boring," and add a description of their hometown "so dirty, so messy, so fun," the positive side of dirty and messy is full of energy and alternative aesthetic sense, otherwise where does "so fun" come from, or what mindset is it based on? It is unknown, without paying care and love, no matter where you go, it will be very boring and unprogressive, where will "beauty" come from. Taiwan is not only beautiful in spring, but also beautiful in all four seasons, beauty comes from multiple aspects: nature, humanities, emotions, state of mind, everywhere. Everything is created by the heart, the environment is born from the heart, the meaning is turned by the environment, Teacher Chen Shih-Ming often reminds "one beauty, everything is beautiful." In the change of seasons, spring has the meaning of rebirth, the earth awakens, everything is renewed, a new energy and vitality, so spring is more bewitching than other seasons, more making people expectant. Taiwan's spring comes earlier than other places, when the Lunar New Year arrives, it is already the beginning of spring, the peach blossoms and plum blossoms or cherry blossoms on the mountains begin to show their elegance, some tree tips on the plains gradually awaken, full of power, sprouting new tender buds, as time goes by, patches of green fill the branches, the narcissus flowers at home, and the bird flocks from the north move into the courtyard and parks, starting to play the spring symphony. The azaleas in the garden are budding, the sun rises earlier and the climate gradually becomes warmer, felt most deeply during morning exercises. Taiwan's spring is a good day for outings, the back garden of the Treasure Island is on the mountain, Alishan is the backyard of Chiayi people or Taiwanese, we don't need the gardens of Versailles or Luxembourg in Paris, the entire Central Mountain Range is the most lush and dense garden of the Treasure Island, although we cannot see cherry blossoms or plum blossoms on the plains in Taiwan, but in recent years, there are scattered mountain cherry blossoms or peach blossom gardens and plum blossoms everywhere on the mountains, going up Alishan to enjoy flowers is a great enjoyment, spring outing is a good day, inviting three or five friends from my hometown, driving for half an hour or a little more can go up the mountain to enjoy flowers, flowers are comfortable, gentle breeze and warm sun, good times, many times going up the mountain, to Alishan, Dapang, Lijia, Tatataga, enjoying flowers, viewing beautiful scenery, touring mountains and rivers, eating Wengaji, mountain vegetables, tasting tea and drinking coffee (Alishan has tea besides coffee), it is really a great enjoyment of life, Taiwan is really so fun, it is good to be alive, as a Taiwanese, I feel very happy. Paris loves me, I love Taiwan.
